Its been a #saladsummer for #NuvoFoodies at The Salad Bar & Walnut Café

Going Healthy has been a trendsetter for a while now. But eating healthy keeps coming back on our radar often, especially since salads never left being part of our meals. However, salads have never been a meal across all seasons. And this is exactly what The Salad Bar & Walnut Café introduced #NaviMumbai too.

26 varieties of salad – vegetarian & non vegetarian – could be eaten warm or cold, portion sizes that make it a meal, walk-in or call for home delivery. All this coupled with varied options in fruit and vegetable juices. Most importantly, The Salad Bar introduced the concept of healthy salads as meals, which are season agnostic.

The pre-cursor to the salads has always been healthy options like Detox juice – beet, carrot, apply & mint, CML – cucumber, mint & lemon or pure indulgences from the Walnut Café menu such as Oreo milkshake or the simple Lemon iced tea.

Settling in to call for salads as the first and last meal often takes time and hence going through the entire menu. Having spent enough time, vegetarian options vary across well designed ingredients, with options such as Legends of Greece (greek salad with a twist), Mediterrean Chickpea salad (lotsa protein going on here), Cottage cheese salad (the paneer lovers can flip on this one), Popeye salad (full of green brilliance). And these just few from the menu, you can spoil yourself ‘vegetrarian’ rotten!

Chicken salads offer a lot of fun too. Options like Lebanese chicken salad (great dressing), Red warrior salad – that Red Warrior Salad
comes with noodles, teriyaki tofu & soya dressing – is a complete meal in itself, Chicken tikka salad (nice and warm), Chicken cous cous salad (light, crunchy & flavorsome).

Feeling healthy are you and now feel like little cheating, don’t worry binge into those options as well. Walnut café menu offers a spread in sandwhiches (must try chicken salad in mayo & mustard), pastas (spaghetti in creamy pesto or penne in tomato creamy), mezze platter (babaghanoush experimented well with) and many preparations in eggs.

Mezze Platter

Fun just keeps rolling on as you can then settle for desserts – waffles with cream or fresh fruits, caramel custard or anything over the counter (they have many options that keep changing often). The Salad Bar & Walnut Café also home delivers anything you desire on the menu – salads, sandwhiches or even juices. So go ahead make it a healthy binging, because it’s here to stay!

#NuvoFoodies experimented with Indian cuisine at #MasalaTable

A cuisine that has been part of our growing up, rather something that every restaurant has offered for decades now. But one place that can mesmerise u with the risks they take to bring alive unique flavors is Masala Table, at the food destination Global Culture.

Masala Table opened its doors to Navi Mumbai in April 2015, but since then has been offering uniqueness to the Mint Shikanji n Kokum SherbetIndian cuisine. Over the multiple visits hosting guests, we dug into their vast menu and the expansive buffet spread as well. The journey begins beautifully with Mint Shikanji and Kokum sherbet, apt fusion to beat any weather!

U know its indulgence when u get spoilt with fare like dahi ke kebab (something so delectable, u wouldn’t have tried it earlier), mushroom galouti (gives mutton a run for its money), chatpate aloo (keep binging), shami me kebab, shakundar ki shami – the list is simply endless. Yes, u read it right, impressive options for vegetarians, which kick starts with the appetisers. The best part about taking a buffet is that the appetisers are served steaming hot from the kitchen as you order. So keep filling that appetite.

The non veg fare is no step cousin and you can relish on murgh malai tikka, m urgh pahadi tikka, chatpati murgoli (filled with chicken), awadhi bhuna boti (succulent), achari jhinga (fresh!), rawa fish fry and more! And for all the mutton lovers, their biryani is a must have!

Mutton biryani

If u get an opportunity to take off ur sight, then u can get urself some soup, salads, delicious pickles (like amla pickle) and head to the mains. Your choice of breads is served hot on the table. The mains get innovative each time, as they often make changes to the buffet. You can try paneer kalimirch, kathal ki Biryani, makhani dal, mutton saagwala (what brilliance!) And chicken masala.

This ain’t done yet! Now head for some absolutely innovative (truly) desserts. Try beetroot ka halwa – might not look great – but is as beautiful on the palate as it can get. Then ur phirni’s, mousse cake, dudhi ka halwa are offered as well.

Would u need more reasons to head to #MasalaTable then pls indulge in some detailed reviews by the experts!
